Biographical Information:
HOWARD SHAPIRO
Howard Shapiro lives in Florence, Oregon, where he is a studio artist potter, ceramic sculptor and teacher. He works mostly with high-fire reduction stoneware clays and glazes (2350 F.). Most of his stoneware and porcelain work is functional and many have sculptural surfaces and form modifications. Mr. Shapiro’s work is represented in numerous private collections in the United States. He also teaches wheel thrown ceramics at the Florence campus of Lane Community College.
